Welcome!

You are invited to join us as we get out in the land around us, participate in it, move with it, feel it, play in it, know it and find our place in it. We allow ourselves to be nourished from the land and eachother and our bodies to feel the deep wonder of life and our belonging in it.

We run regular meetings for adults, children and families as well as camps, programmes and pilgrimages.

Who we are

Living Hearth

The hearth is the centre of the house, the heart of the house, in the village it is the centre of the community. It can be a place to come together, to share our stories, to cook, play music, dance, share food, relax, unwind or just be. The village hearth has faded from our communities but I know it’s importance, how it nourishes us to come back there again and again and know we belong, that our stories are valued and that we are valued. We go out in to the world but the hearth is always there to come back to.

David grew up on the North Wessex downs in England. In love with his valley, it’s woods, fields and wildlife. He feels a great pull to connect to the land around him through his passions for wildlife, wild food, earth skills, and history. He is happiest when playing games, singing together around the fire and sharing his passions with others. David has trained in ancestral skills, wild food, mentoring and awareness with various schools in the UK, Norway and Austria, he is also a trained Forest School Leader.

David is supported by a team of equally passionate people.
